What We Treat

Post Surgical Conditions
We Specialise In.

Dedicated, in-home rehabilitation tailored to your surgery and your recovery goals.

/ 01

Knee Replacement Rehabilitation

Total or partial knee replacement requires dedicated rehab to restore movement and strength. We work on range of motion, walking, stairs and returning to your normal activities. Early physio makes a big difference to outcomes.

/ 02

Hip Replacement Rehabilitation

After hip replacement, the focus is on safe movement, strengthening and getting back on your feet. We guide you through precautions, gait training and progressive exercises to rebuild confidence.

/ 03

Shoulder Replacement and Rotator Cuff Surgery

Shoulder surgery recovery needs careful progression. We help restore range of motion, rebuild strength and get you back to everyday tasks like dressing, reaching and lifting.

/ 04

Spinal Surgery Rehabilitation

Whether you’ve had a discectomy, fusion or decompression, post-spinal surgery rehab focuses on core stability, safe movement patterns and gradual return to activity.

/ 05

Other Surgical Procedures

We also support recovery from ACL reconstruction, ankle surgery, wrist and hand procedures, and other orthopaedic surgeries.

What to Expect After Surgery

A clear path through recovery.

From your first visit to your home exercise program, every step is tailored to where you are in your recovery.

  1. 01

    First Visit

We’ll review your surgical notes, assess your current movement and pain levels, and create a tailored rehab plan. We’ll also check your home environment is safe for recovery.

  2. 02

    Ongoing Sessions

Each session builds on the last. We progress exercises as you heal, working towards your specific goals – whether that’s walking without aids, climbing stairs or returning to sport.

  3. 03

    Between Visits

We give you a home exercise program to follow between sessions. Consistency is key to a good recovery.

FAQ

Common questions.

Still unsure? Call us on 03 8824 0712 and we’ll talk it through.

How soon after surgery can I start physio?
This depends on your surgery and surgeon’s advice. For many procedures, we can start within a few days of hospital discharge. We’ll coordinate with your surgical team.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed for private clients. For Medicare rebates, you’ll need a GP referral. We’ll need a copy of your surgical notes or discharge summary.
How long will I need physio?
Recovery timelines vary by procedure. Knee and hip replacements typically need 8-12 weeks of active rehab. We’ll give you a clearer timeline after your initial assessment.
What should I have ready for the first visit?
Your discharge summary or surgical notes, a list of current medications, and comfortable clothing. We bring all the equipment needed.
Can you visit me in hospital before discharge?
In some cases, yes. Contact us to discuss.
Can family or carers be involved in sessions?
Absolutely. We encourage family and carers to join sessions. This helps with understanding exercises, providing support between visits and keeping everyone informed about progress.
Do you charge travel fees?
We travel to you across our service areas. Any travel cost depends on your location, and we will always confirm it clearly with you before booking, so there are no surprises.
